Curriculum IDEA OF THE MONTH
We want to start a READING club. JUST ONE article at a time. Anyone interested?
Click the button below. Read the curriculum:
"Unsung Heroes: Foodworkers During the Covid Crisis."
It's easy and meaningful.
Then contact LATA for a discussion with like-minded educators.
Or just send your feedback!
This social justice resource is from Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility. Let's discuss how we can implement this.

The struggle has a long history and continues...
From our colleagues in the Oakland Education Association-OEA:

The OEA, representing nearly 2,800 educators in the Oakland Unified School District, applauds Colin Kaepernick’s statement calling for freedom for Mumia Abu-Jamal...who was framed for the murder of a Philadelphia police officer by a police department notorious for its systematic racist brutality.
Kaepernick's Video HERE

It’s critical that we do everything we can to ensure that 2021 is a healthier, more just world.

Sign the petition from Madonna Thunder Hawk!

Protect our climate, lands, and water.
Biden must be reminded of his obligation to protect the Earth.

The climate clock is ticking, and ending both KXL and DAPL should be one of his first steps as our chief executive.

Courts have blocked both pipelines, but TC Energy has moved forward to create "man" camps, which threaten Native women close to their reservation. On DAPL, Trump reversed Obama’s decision to require further environmental review; but courts have kept it's oil flowing, at least for now. The bottom line is that Biden ought to enforce the standards spelled out by the National Environmental Policy Act.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! STAY SAFE!
