At our November meeting, we discussed the following:
  • Updating the website (Can anyone volunteer to help?)
  • On-going work with the Latino Task Force
  • Partnership with the Mexican Consulate in San Francisco
  • Discussion groups with LATA members around combating anti-blackness
  • The Educators of Color event sponsored by SFUSD on November 12
  • Collaborating with the SF Alliance of Black School Educators - SFABSE to award a scholarship focused on Afro-Latinos
  • Finances (We have given $42,500 of scholarships! Six did not enroll yet, so we're saving the award for them till they do.)

Educator Recognition Form HERE
We did not get a suggestion from any of our members, so this is a friendly reminder to nominate someone.
