Official Children's University Destination

We are pleased that Hednesford Park has become an official Learning Destination with Staffordshire University’s Children’s University. Please see their Facebook Page for more details –

In partnership with the Education Team at the Park, our activities support schools, home education families and young people to discover that learning is fun and that we live in an inspirational world.

Sessions need to be booked through the Education Team at Hednesford Park but cover:

1. Hednesford Park Forest School sessions
2. Hednesford Park ‘Plant Pots’ sessions, gardening for young people with Cara
3. Hednesford Park Roots, Tuesday after school sessions with Heather 
4. Hednesford Park Nature Rangers sessions in school holidays, engage with the natural environment and make something to take home
5. ‘Mindful Moments’ with Cara, sessions to help you connect with yourself and the moment
6. Dementia Friend sessions with Lynn
7. Social Forestry with Lynn, activities within the woodland to help you connect with yourself, others and the woods
8. ‘George the pink elephant walk and talk through mental health’ 
9. Treasure Hunts and Family activities in School Holidays
10. Tennis for Free every Sunday at 10am (all equipment provided)
