New Self Check-In App

We are pleased to announce our 7th Mobile App available from January 2020! CheckLink is for your busy Reception area to increase staff productivity where it’s needed. CheckLink is an option for clients who are happy to mark themselves as arrived. The advantage for the practice, besides staff productivity, is that the App also allows clients to take their pet’s weight and a photo, and have the opportunity to update their contact details – this information is then automatically captured in VetLinkSQL. Another FREE Mobile App for VetLinkSQL users in 2020!

Online Booking Enhancements

With the tremendous uptake of Online Booking, we continue to add enhancements. First it was an end-user Mobile App for your clients to be able to phone, google map drive, and book online from their phones easily. It is now possible for you to have your own “Reply-To” email address in case clients want to email back after receiving your confirmation email. We will just need to register your email with Amazon AWS as a “trusted” source. Once that is done, you are ready to go! The second enhancement now allows clients to update their contact details if they are incorrect. More enhancements are planned for 2020, including the introduction of BI (Business Intelligence) type features to enhance user experience, provide high standards of care, and add new revenue streams! VetLinkSQL Launches in the Philippines

As middle classes grow in some countries, there is an expectation of high standards of pet care. To provide high standards of care, one needs high quality software solutions. We are pleased to have secured our first group in the Philippines that seem well organised with several clinics already, and an appetite for growth. We are honoured to be selected as their partner as they grow further in this market.

Singapore Vet Show Presentation

Our CEO, Deven Patel's session had a great turn out at The Singapore Vet Show in Oct 2019. He felt privileged to have been invited to speak at this conference. Attendees gave great feedback on topics ranging from smart Online Booking Systems, Mobile Apps, and Disaster Recovery Planning for practices.

Singapore Expansion

VetLinkSQL has always been very popular in this tech savvy country. Now with new clinics and hospitals opening up, we continue to install new sites due to peer recommendation, local phone number support, and our latest Singapore Amazon AWS infrastructure to service our Asian clients. Temasek Polytech has also been recently deployed so Veterinary nurses will already have exposure to VetLinkSQL making them immediately productive when they enter the market. In addition to two new independent practices joining in January, we are also pleased to have been selected as the software of choice for a new corporate group in Singapore that has ambitious expansion plans in 2020 and beyond!

EFTPOS Integration with Payment Express

In case you missed our previous announcement – we are now fully integrated with Payment Express EFT-POS terminals. VetLinkSQL is also fully integrated to Tyro Terminals in Australia – now you have two choices. It's best to talk to both to see who will provide you with the best product and support.

Training By Our Senior Vet Nurse

We have a senior Veterinary nurse on staff who is an expert on VetLinkSQL features. He is available for one-on-one onsite or online training whenever you are ready. Email to book.

Windows Updates

Please note that Microsoft has announced end of support for Windows 7 and all versions of Windows Server 2008 as of 14 Jan 2020. While it will still function, Microsoft will no longer be providing bug fixes or security updates. Remaining on these operating systems after support ends will leave your system vulnerable, and you may no longer be able to connect to sites and applications that require the latest security standards.

Many new applications are already requiring higher security for third party integration through standards such as the latest version of TLS* and RESTful web services.

You have two options:

  • Contact your IT provider to audit your system and upgrade before 14 Jan 2020.
  • Contact our team to join over 900 VetLinkSQL users who have already migrated to our Amazon Cloud environment.

VetLinkSQL V6 (2020)

We are pleased to announce that VetLinkSQL V6, using a new updated programming language, is now installed in multiple clinics for final beta testing. A number of new features held back for V6 release will be available from Q1 2020. Apart from features, reliability, and performance, V6 will no longer have a “Background Processor”! Woohoo!

Cash Drawer at Reception

In case you were unaware, you have always been able to connect a cash drawer to your system so that it opens automatically when taking relevant payments. This makes for better security. Please contact for further assistance. In New Zealand you can get it directly from us. For other countries, we can assist with providing a specification for your tech. It is quite standard so you should have no problem sourcing one.
