Welcome to the first Blue-Action newsletter of 2018!

In our first issue of 2018 , we review highlights from the Blue-Action general assembly in Bologna, profile a new publications by Blue-Action colleagues, and provide updates on project news, upcoming events, new staff and vacancies. At the end of the newsletter, you can find information on recently submitted deliverables, as well as a reminder of those with upcoming deadlines. Happy reading!

Project News

  • Moscow scenario-planning workshop, December 7-8, 2018. The Blue-Action WP5 case study launched their "Yamal Oil and Gas 2040" workshop series in December, bringing together diverse stakeholders to discuss the future of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Find out more here.
  • Arctic Frontiers 2018. Steffen Olsen and Vilena Valeeva represented Blue-Action at Arctic Frontiers 2018 in Tromso, Norway. Read more here.
  • WP2 co-lead Gerard McCarthy ( has moved to Maynooth University, Ireland.
