Our 3rd Update on the “Bharatiya Nari” book.

We have wrapped up almost 2 full months of our fundraising efforts for the book. With help from all you generous people, We have reached 68% of our goal.

Please keep spreading the word and help us accomplish our goal of 2L INR to make this book.

We have updates on the book size, number of pages and illustrations. Right now, we are considering 7.2in x 9.1in as the size. We are also aiming for 64 pages in the book and it should weigh around 0.6lbs(0.27kgs). With these attributes, the book will be compact and lightweight for children to carry around easily.

We are also very close to finalizing our illustrator. A majority of time last month was spent talking to several illustrators and we are excited to have an artist onboard who believes in our vision. We cant wait to get started with the illustrations of the book.

To spread further awareness esp. from a male perspective, Rajat penned down his thoughts on why such a book might be more important for boys than girls. Do read it and share your feedback.

Also, if you know any girl who is funny and deep down wonders what it would be like to be a comedian, please do share the image attached of the iconic Tun Tun, hindi cinema's first-ever female comedian. Born in a conservative family in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, She was orphaned as an infant and not allowed to study. She taught herself to read and write and became a successful playback singer before becoming a comedian.
