Each one of you are a special person who have believed in the idea at such an early stage. With your support, We are even more determined on the importance of such a book for Indian girls.
Though we hoped to raise 2L INR, we fell short of it by 26K. It stings that our awareness efforts didn’t meet our goals completely. Nonetheless, we are fully committed to making the book and are marching forward.
In our last update, we mentioned looking for an illustrator. We are so excited to have Anastasia Damani join us for the illustration work in the book.
“Working on this book has been an inspiration for itself. We normally look outside for inspiration for what we are working on but reading about how these women made it happen for themselves makes me want to make this book happen!
While girls will go on to dream of impacting and changing the world , boys will learn to respect girls and eventually see them as equals when they grow up.
This book will play a huge role in imprinting on a child’s subconscious and will shape their personalities. We, as a team, are paying special attention to showcase diversity in shape, size, colour, age and culture. It’s so important to teach kids that external experiences don’t matter, what we make of ourselves does.” - Anastasia
With crowdfunding now behind us, we can now devote our full energy on the work to make the book happen. Illustration and writing is going well and we intend to keep you informed with steady updates.
