Welcome to the first ever Kent ASA Water Polo Newsletter!

The aim of this newsletter is to share county wide water polo information such as upcoming events and news stories for both senior and junior water polo players all within one email.

Please share this newsletter around your Club/ network of contacts and encourage them to contact me so they subscribe to this newsletter in their own right.
 
If you attend a water polo function or hear of any water polo news related to Kent please send it to me at KentWaterPoloNews@gmail.com so I can include it in next month’s newsletter.
 
Kent Ladies Cup - The first Ladies Cup tournament for Kent clubs which has been in the planing for many years took place in March. It is fair to say it was a great success with over 30 ladies taking part. Full details can be found here
Kent Development sessions - These training sessions are exclusively geared towards the inter-counties tournaments for the U14 & U16 age groups. Upcoming dates are  22 April/ 20 May/ (10 June - Kent Water Polo Award Scheme).  Everyone is welcome to attend full info here
Referee courses - Interested in being a ref? Water polo needs more referees.
South East ASA are running a Grade D referees course at Basingstoke full details can be found here 
Kent Festival - The annual Kent Festival will be taking place 
Date - Saturday 24th June 
Location- Folkestone 
Time - 13:00 - 18:00
3 Mini Mixed Tournaments (age groups)-
U12 - 2005 & younger
U14 - 2003 & younger
U16 - 2001 & younger
Kent League update
Last month saw the first Kent League game of 2017, Beckenham (champions of last year) vs Shepway B final score 16 - 6. The league really starts this month with the following matches being
4th April - Beckenham vs Shepway A
5th April - Sevenoaks vs Shepway B
20 April - Shepway B vs Sevenoaks
25 April - Bexley vs Shepway A

A quick reminder that the next regional water polo training session takes place at Splashpoint on Saturday April 29th. Registration will be at 19.00 and the session will run from 19.15 to 21.15 and will cost £5. 

The next inter-regional competition is for the 2002 (& younger) age group and will take place over the weekend of 1-2 July. As a result the next round of sessions will be for boys born 2002/2003/2004 and these will take place on the following dates; -

April 29th/ May 27th/ June 17th
