IN-PERSON WORSHIP SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Because of the significant spike in COVID-19 cases, we have once again suspended in-person worship. Unfortunately, because of the large numbers of people coming down with the virus, it's hard to know when we will be able to get back together. We will continue to offer services via YouTube and will find other ways to interact as best we can. In the meantime, it is very important that we all continue to wear our masks in public, social distance, and stay home if possible in order to keep each other and our neighbors safe.  Click here to watch last Sunday's service
DONATIONS FOR ALTAR FLOWERS ARE BEING ACCEPTED.  If you would like to donate the altar flowers there is a sign up sheet in the narthex or you can click here to order online. The cost is $30. People often donate them in celebration of birthdays and anniversaries or to remember loved ones. Or sometimes just because. If you have any questions contact Gera Chestnutt.

PLEASE CONTINUE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS  As we spend this time in isolation, we are still capable of small acts of generosity.  Please continue your contributions to the Church as they enable larger acts in your name. You can either donate online via the Church website OR you can drop a check in the mail - The church address is 5909 Walzem Rd. Windcrest TX 78218. Thank you for your continued support - Dorcas Sampson, Sr. Warden.

We are studying The Pastoral Letters (1 and 2 Timothy and Titus) at our Thursday morning bible study. This week we will be looking in depth at 2 Timothy 4:9-22. Here are some discussion questions that will guide our conversation.
  1. What do you learn about Paul in these personal remarks?
  2. Paul names over a dozen people in these remarks. Why do you think he gets so personal?
  3. After 20 years, Paul changes his mind about Mark's usefulness. What must have happened for Paul to write what he did about Mark in this letter? What is the lesson here for you?
  4. What is one think Paul is certain the Lord will do for him in the future? How does Paul's faith and hope, in spite of his suffering, inspire you?
  5. On a scale of 1 to 10 how has your relationship with God progressed over the last year?
  6. Who are some people who have ministered to you or with you in the past? What did you learn from them?
  7. What do you most want to apply to your life from 2 Timothy?

Fr. Chris

Bishop Reed asked us at our Diocesan Council back in February to read The Book of Psalms this year.

The Book of Psalms is not necessarily a book to be studied, but rather a book to be used. The psalms are primarily hymns and they need to be spoken and/or sung in order to receive the full impact of what they are saying to us and for us.

Several of your fellow Parishioners have offered to record some of the Psalms, the first of which have been uploaded to YouTube. You can view them here. Invite your friends to view them as well.

There are plenty more Psalms to be recorded. Please let me know if you are interested in helping with this project.

This is one of my favorite cartoons. It is particularly appropriate as the NBA season begins again. You can find it posted on my door along with a few dozen more and you can find cartoons like this all over the internet (I found this one on

Humor is a great release, but it also gives us perspective. it helps us see the world and our own ideals and beliefs a little differently. I hope this makes you laugh.

Watch over your children, O Lord, as their days increase; bless and guide them wherever they may be. Strengthen them when they stand; comfort them when discouraged or sorrowful; raise them up if they fall; and in their hearts may your peace which passes understanding abide all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God, you have so consecrated the covenant of marriage that in it is represented the spiritual unity between Christ and his Church: Send therefore your blessing upon these your servants, that they may so love, honor, and cherish each other in faithfulness and patience, in wisdom and true godliness, that their home may be a haven of blessing and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Almighty God, giver of life and health: Send your blessing on all who are in trouble, sorrow,
need, sickness or any other adversity, and upon those who minister to them, that all weakness may
be vanquished by the triumph of the risen Christ; who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
Prayer requests are kept in this list and in the prayers of the people until the end of any given month unless otherwise requested. If you would like to view the complete parish prayer list click here
