| The Thompson Temple belfry and roof is in dire need of repair.
The many cold harsh northeast winters have taken a toll on our beloved and historic temple and national headquarters of The National Spiritual Alliance. While we continue to schedule fund-raising events, it is not enough to cover the cost of the annual operating expenses of building maintenance and having the roof replaced and the belfry enclosed.
If we are not able to acquire the needed funding in the next few months we may have to make some very important decisions regarding the Thompson Temple. The Temple has been a community fixture for over 100 years and many continue to rely on the spiritual nurturing that our Spiritualist community brings to the region.
The weekly donations collected at Sunday services and the basic membership dues will not provide the funds for a new roof and enclosed belfry.
The Law of Circulation and Law of Property come into play here. Thousands have entered through our doors over our history. Many have become certified healers, mediums and ordained ministers. Through affiliation with TNSA many have become prosperous. TNSA has been there for members and the community over 100 years. Unfortunately, we have not been the benefactors of bequeaths and substantial donations .
Now TNSA and the Thompson Temple needs you. We need our membership, chartered churches and friends to help keep the Thompson Temple from further damage and possibly not being able to be used. We cannot continue to keep containers catching water in the sanctuary with the danger of debris falling and becoming a hazard.
Contributions to the building fund should be sent directly to TNSA. It is up to YOU!
Blessings of Spirit,
On behalf of the Board Of Directors,
Rev. Joe Giannini,
