Thank you for praying for Kawsay

Thank you for praying as Kawsay took his private pilot checkride on Thursday.  Unfortunately, he did not pass this first time around.  However, he is still in high spirits (for all who know Kawsay that's no surprise!) and is making plans to continue his aviation training.  We are working on our schedules for when and how to proceed.  I am so encouraged by his attitude and his belief that God is in control and can make good things come from situations that we don't expect or are outside our plan.

The care and love you see in the picture above makes it one of my all-time favorite photos.  It is of Kawsay in 2019 carrying one of our medical patients, Heh Kuh.  Heh Kuh was with our FBR Patient Care Team in Chiang Mai, Thailand for treatment of his rare form of eye cancer.  Beyond medical help, he was sent home to his village soon after this picture was taken and sadly passed away not long after that.

In the photo Kawsay is wearing an FBR t-shirt.  On the back is the FBR motto:

Love each other.
Unite and work for freedom justice and peace.
Forgive and don’t hate each other.
Pray with faith.  Act with courage.  Never surrender.

This is the motto that Kawsay and all our Rangers live by.  This passion allows us to continue working and helping others despite any setbacks we face.

Thank you all for being a part of this with us, encouraging and supporting us along the way.  Your prayers mean so much to us and our friends as we work to bring aviation relief to the people of Burma.
