You may know we’ve been discussing a helicopter program for nearly two years, but as an organization we submit all decisions to the Lord and wait for his timing before moving forward.  So, we’ve been meeting and planning with our helicopter advisory team in Texas this year as we wait.  After joining us for an October planning meeting in Georgetown, TX, a Free Burma Rangers donor gave $1.5 million toward the purchase of a helicopter!  What an incredible story of God’s timing and provision.

This MD530F will be such a game changing tool for the oppressed people groups we serve.  It will be based in Georgetown throughout 2022 as we train our current FBR Aviation team and recruit and evaluate new pilots who are already experienced in helicopters.

Our family signed a one-year lease on a home in nearby Killeen, TX to oversee this developing program in the coming year.

Please pray with us for these needs:

  • My helicopter training costs— approximately $20-30,000 for my helicopter “add-on” certificate
  • Recruiting the correct people for our new helicopter team— we are looking for experienced pilots, mechanics, and ground personnel who can help us start the program and train local pilots
Year in Review
Congratulations to our friend and FBR teammate Kittikoon who earned his FAA Flight Instructor certificate this year!  Kit spent January-February with us in Texas and worked hard toward this accomplishment!  This brings Kit’s 7+ years of aviation training full circle and allows him to begin training FBR pilots.
We spent March-June in Thailand working on an avionics upgrade in FBR’s Cessna 172.  Upgrading and simplifying the instrument panel makes our operation safer and more reliable during months of heavy pollution and low visibility each spring in Northern Thailand.  We’re thankful for our partnership with PF Flyers of Greenville, SC and their incredible help on this project!
We returned to Texas for July and August to host Kawsay and his wife Lele and train him toward his private pilot license.  These two amazing and caring people direct FBR’s Medical Patient Care program.  Keep them in your prayers!
This year we began a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) program to deliver medicine, vaccines and other supplies.  This little baby can travel up to 80 miles roundtrip, automatically drop its payload, return and autoland – all via GPS!  What a time-saver and literal life-saver to quickly dispatch a UAV to remote locations.  Big thanks to our friends at ITEC for help with this tool! Please pray for its continued development.
We spent August-December in local ministry in Palmer, Alaska and working remotely for FBR.
Whether our family is in Texas, Alaska, or Thailand, we enjoy working with so many different people and helping encourage and strengthen friends along the way!  God is always good, always faithful, and always gives opportunities for us to partner with him and his people in Kingdom work.
It’s been a crazy ride since 2020 and we’re thankful for all our regular financial supporters and prayer partners.  Unfortunately, during this time our monthly support level dropped to 50% of our family’s necessary ministry budget.  Would you please pray and consider a tax-deductible monthly gift?  It’s easy to set up recurring or one-time donations on our website,
Again we want to say thank you to those who pray and give so faithfully.  You make it possible!

Thank you and Happy New Year!
