In today’s gospel Jesus reveals his power over death by raising Lazarus from the dead. The prophet Ezekiel prophesies God breathing new life into dry bones. To those in exile or living in the shadows of death, these stories proclaim God’s promise of resurrection. In baptism we die with Christ that we might also be raised with him to new life. At the Easter Vigil we will welcome the newly baptized as we remember God’s unfailing promise in our baptism.

Masking is optional while attending worship services or other events at St. Mark's.  We will continue to have masks available near the entrance to the sanctuary for those who feel more comfortable being masked and have forgotten to bring one with them to the church..

Pastor Zsofi Away this week
Pastor Zsofi, Paul, and Perrin are away from March 20th until April 1st for some needed sabbath time and to visit family. If you need emergency pastoral care during this time, please contact Pastor Jenn Marlor at (204) 998-4503.

Easter Sunday Brunch Request
The Youth are looking forward to cooking and serving the Easter Brunch after service on Sunday, April 9.  They are looking for 10-14 people to donate 1 dozen hard boiled eggs for the tables that day (for a total of 120-168 eggs).
Feel free to decorate and colour them as you wish!  Eggs can be brought to the church on Easter Sunday morning and dropped off in the kitchen.

Tax Benefits of Charitable Giving
Now that we have the vernal equinox behind us, spring weather can't be that far behind.  Spring also means we are into income tax preparation season. If you prepare your own tax returns, you are likely aware of the tax benefits that come with charitable giving. Mid Week Noon Hour Lent Services
The Winnipeg Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists is pleased to be presenting a series of five short noon-hour Lenten services at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 637 Buckingham Road. These services will take place from 12:15 -12:45 every Wednesday from March 1 - March 28.

Guest organist this coming week is Haewook Kim, Holy Trinity Anglican. Each service will feature five meditative organ pieces, a hymn, scripture, and prayers.
