Creating Connections:  Diversity in involvement in research
Tuesday, 16th October 2018 
10am-4pm
Newcastle University

Creating Connections:  Diversity in involvement in research is a regional event to showcase examples of patient and public involvement (PPI) in research.  The workshop element of this event will focus on how to include a more diverse group of people in health and social care research.  The event is free to attend and is open to members of the public, as well as researchers to provide an opportunity to learn how to access patient groups for health and social care research and how they broaden the reach of involvement work that is currently being undertaken.

Applying for research funding? Access free advice and support from the NIHR Research Design Service North East
 
The Research Design Service (RDS) is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to support research teams to develop and submit high quality applied health and social care grant applications to NIHR and other national peer-reviewed funding programmes. 
 
We offer specialist advice on all aspects of an application including: 
 
● designing a research study 
● research methods (qualitative and quantitative) 
● identifying suitable sources of funding 
● involving patients and public in research design 
● identifying potential academic, clinical and lay collaborators. 
 
Our advice is confidential and free of charge
