It’s almost time!
There are only FOUR more days until I board my plane back to America!
To all of you who have been praying for me during these last few weeks as I’ve been preparing to leave South Africa - thank you! To all of my donors who have made these last four years of incredible ministry possible - thank you!
My emotions are whirling as I finish up my final days of packing suitcases and saying final goodbyes, but your faithful prayers, words of encouragement, and constant love have made this transition process so much easier to bear. It has been so sweet and reassuring to know that I have a bunch of caring and amazing friends and family that will be waiting for me on the other side of the world. My heart feels sore leaving so much behind in South Africa, but it also feels full as I look forward to all of the wonderful things that are to come in this new season.

QUICK + IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
I wanted to send out a quick “logistics” update for those of you who are monthly donors and/or who donate periodically through my Shepherd’s Staff account:
My Shepherd’s Staff account will remain open to receive donations until May 31st, which will be a HUGE blessing while I transition home, continue with my graduate school studies, and start the job hunting process. After May 31st, if you would like to continue to donate towards the work that I am doing to fight human trafficking in the USA and abroad, those donations will need to be made through my personal bank account in the USA (via check, cash, or transfer). This means that any donations made to my Shepherd’s Staff account after May 31st will bounce, and it also means that any donations made through my personal bank account in the USA will not be tax deductible.
Now that the logistics are out of the way...
Thank you for partnering with me, and for believing in the work that I've been doing to raise awareness and help victims and survivors of human trafficking find hope, freedom, and restoration all across Africa. It has been such an honor to join hands and hearts with you all as we've fought to make a difference in the lives of many. I never would have been able to accomplish any of this work without your help and support! There are greater things to come and much more work to be done, so I look forward to continuing this journey with you all in the USA!
Over these next four days, please join me in praying for:
- Safety, health, and protection while traveling.
- Lots of sleep on the airplanes.
- My final Straatwerk outreach this Friday night with the ladies trapped in prostitution.
- My last Sunday morning worship service with my All People's Church family in Stellenbosch.
- Comfort and peace from my Heavenly Father (especially during my final goodbyes).
- Extra portions of faith and joy and trust as I close one chapter of my life to start another.
- Anything else the Holy Spirit lays on your heart!
Love you all!
To my American friends - see you soon!
To my South African friends - see you again!
