Hellooo there!

It's been a while, hasn't it? I hope you are all well!
I'm back at home/the studio after working at an opera house for about 11 weeks. It was a great experience but I am also happy to be back doing my own thing! Let me show you what I've been up to.

Ceramic Beads

I made these beads months and months ago, and finally I found the time to fire them! Since I don't have access to a kiln, and it's too cold to do a pit-fire now, I made a kind of pit-fire above ground, in a charcoal grill.
The interesting stains and colors on the beads have been created by the fire and the natural materials I put around the beads when fired. You can read and see more about it in this public Patreon post.

Most of the beads are now for sale in my Etsy shop, click here if you are interested.
I loved making these beads and I'm so happy with how they turned out!
I will definitely be making more experiments with pit-firing pottery when I get the chance.

Yule Goat Holiday Cards

Also, now that I am back home I have put up the remaining Yule Goat holiday cards in the shop too!
This drawing is made by the amazing Ksenia Bakhareva, based on my yule goat costume.

Gotland & The Medieval Week

This summer I visited the island of Gotland and I finally got around to putting up a bunch of photos from the trip! If you want to see more from there, take a look at this post full with photos.

Autumn Inspiration

I was away working at the opera pretty much all autumn. But I was able to squeeze in a couple of forest adventures during my favorite season.
Look at these lovely weirdos!
I have started to build a new website, since my current one is really impractical to update and such. So when the new one is done, I will have a blog there, where I can post photos like these!

Yule Goat

Right now I am working on doing some improvements to this fella! The Yule Goat will make an appearance at this years yule market.
I'm just adding some more wool, making new and better straps and other practical things to make the mask and costume easier and more comfy to wear.

Baba Yaga

I will end this letter with this sami storage building I found while on a walk. Does it not look exactly like Baba Yaga's hut? <3
Until next time, take care!
