OPENING RECEPTION

Yes, we were so excited to write up the shows and tell
you about them that we forgot to mention the opening.

Starling Rush NFT Giveaway
From 5-8pm attendees can enter to win their preference
of either a Starling Rush canvas art print or an actual
collectors set of 3 Starling Rush NFTs. The drawings for
both will take place at 8pm. If you entered, but since left,
you're still eligible to win the giveaway. At random times
during the day Don will be gifting individual Starling Rush
NFTs to interested collectors.

What is an NFT?
Check out this useful video by BFF NFT that covers
the blockchain, crypto-currency, NFTs, and how to do your
own research to determine the validity of a project or artist.
You'll also see a guest appearance by Women Rise NFT
artist, author, and founder Maliha Abidi that we feature in
our May-June show Blockchained.

BLOCKCHAINED
During the pandemic, artists from around the world sought to stay connected, and many found digital art and the blockchain as a way to do so. During this historic period in time, Parisa and I began meeting artists through their digital art and NFT projects, and continued to develop our friendships with them as we opened GalleryW. Blockchained features work by many of the artists that we befriended and in many cases now plan to represent in the traditional gallery setting. We have framed and canvas prints available of NFTs from Pouya Ahmari, Neda Tavallaee, Sherry Ying Ruden, along with select NFT's printed from the collections of Women Rise, Mystic Sisterhood, Expansion Punks, Starling Rush, and Destiny's CEBs.

SUPERKICKS
In this selection of acrylic paintings, Don Wesley shares a new development in his work around the idea of building memories for ourselves. In Superkicks, moments in televised history are paused mid-movement and reduced to primary shapes and colors, leaving the viewer with a calm space to consider their own memories of the moment or figures implied.

GALLERY SELECTIONS
In addition to our two feature exhibits, we will also be showing selections from the studios of Sherry Ying Ruden, James M. Lilly, and Don Wesley.
