Aspiring to be catalysts for peacemaking, especially where minorities are persecuted, where justice is denied, human rights are suppressed or reconciliation is needed

November Peacemaker News

<<First Name>>, In my experience, peacemaking is most effective when undertaken in collaboration with likeminded people. From our very beginning Peacemaker Trust has partnered with charities and NGO's who share one or more of the Five Marks of Mission. I am pleased to share with you news of our most recent projects and initiatives.

Justice, Peace & Reconciliation

Peacemaker Trust was one of the three founding members of the Convivencia Alliance. In October, we arranged the first international webinar entitled: The Convivencia Declaration: Justice, Peace and Reconciliation in Palestine – Christian Perspectives: The Struggle for Justice and Peace: Experiences from South Africa, Northern Ireland, USA and Palestine.

Four distinguished speakers contributed: Allan Boesak (South Africa), Mark Braverman (USA), Jonny Clark (Ireland) and Rifat Kassis (Palestine). You can watch their stimulating presentations here

Looking Forward to Armageddon?

In October I was invited to give a presentation on the historical roots and political agenda of Christian Zionism to members of Bath Friends of Palestine and hosted by the Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institute. This is a video of my presentation.

Nijlvallei - Nile Valley

In this short interview, the Revd Dr Jos Strengholt discusses life in Egypt today and the work of Nijl Vallei (Nile Valley) the Dutch charity he founded to support the poor and marginalised in Egypt in partnership with the Coptic Church and other denominations. For more information on how you can support Nile Valley email kantoor@nijlvallei.nl or visit their website https://www.nijlvallei.nl
