Here are North Carolina’s candidates running for the Senate in 2022

Since incumbent Senator Richard Burr announced he would not seek re-election in 2022, many North Carolinians have expressed interest in taking his place. The federal government already operates on a close edge between Democrats and Republicans and tension is high in the wake of the Trump administration and Jan. 6 insurrection over the 2020 election results. Both parties are looking to the 2022 midterm election as a crucial determinant of congressional control and potentially the stability of the nation. Swing-state North Carolina is a considered key influencer of the 2022 Congress. And with an open Senate seat, anything seems possible.

REVIEW: Even with Jackman, ‘Reminiscence’ fails to fulfill its compelling premise

Notably, science fiction is a genre that’s able to be mixed with several other genres, such as comedy, action, romance and thriller. Most sci-fi films are blended with subgenres in order to explore both societal and philosophical themes that provoke intrigue and in-depth analysis from viewers.

Released in theaters and to HBO Max, Lisa Joy’s “Reminiscence” carries a neo-noir narrative that takes place in a dystopian setting and explores the concept of memories. While the film takes cues from sci-fi films like “Blade Runner” and “Total Recall,” a more recent work that the film can be compared to is Christopher Nolan’s “Inception.”

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men’s basketball team released its 2021-2022 schedule Wednesday afternoon. After a 7-10 record in the shortened 2019-2020 campaign, Takayo Siddle will look to take a step forward in his second season as head coach.

The Seahawk slate features 16 conference games, 14 home contests and 31 matchups in all. However, three games in particular jump off the page as the season draws closer.

With the semester just getting underway, we are all excited to get back to campus after experiencing Zoom meetings and online classes. However, with the rise of the contagious delta variant, this excitement and anticipation of a normal school year are in jeopardy of a spring 2020 repeat. Therefore, UNCW should require all students to be vaccinated unless they have underlining conditions in order to ensure a normal school year and to protect those students who are unable to have the vaccination.
