Trump may be out of the White House, but the forces that put him in power are still at work, undermining our democratic institutions, fanning hatred and fear, and seeking to consolidate power in the hands of the few. Come learn how you can work with others in Howard County to build a fairer and more resilient democracy. We'll hear the game plan for democracy reform from Common Cause, review our own strategic plan, learn Action Team plans for next year, and then have the option to chat with Action Teams in small breakout groups. Let the Light Shine
The Gorman Road Overpass protests are back as a joint effort by IndivisibleHoCoMD and Our Revolution, this time to raise awareness about HR1/S1 For The People Act. Counting both northbound and southbound vehicles, 196 cars passed our signs per minute. Do the math: that's 11,760 vehicles per hour. Assuming some cars had more than one occupant, in an hour and a half we reached 18,000 potential voters. Get in on the fun and join us next Friday, 3:30-5:30!
