NDP on firing of IG Atkinson
There is a lot of concern for getting protection for healthcare workers which is well deserved.
But there is huge group of workers that have to keep working through the virus that are not getting the support they need from the government: Postal Employees. Postal Employees deserve protection from the virus. They work for us everyday mostly unseen. There is another major problem with the Post Office, the Stimulus bill did not give the Post Office enough money to keep it running with the down turn of business. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE THE POST OFFICE OR WE LOSE VOTE BY MAIL ELECTIONS. Contact your representatives and tell them that they need to fully fund the Post Office so it can protect its employees and keep the Post Office running.

Elections have consequences.

We’re living with the consequences of 2016.

If you want 2020 to be different, here’s what you can do from home -

1) The Postcard Brigade has committed to write thousands of postcards to get Pennsylvania and Florida Democratic voters signed up to vote by mail.  Email to help out.

2) A Phone banking effort is aimed at calling all Democratic voters in the state who are 60+ years old to encourage them to use PA's new vote by mail system.  They have only 26,456 Democrats to reach!  Please help out by joining the phone banking team.  The link for the Virtual Phone Bank (VPB) is here.  Below under Public service you will find a video on Virtual Phone Banking.

3) Join a Nationwide Virtual Letter Writing Party

Letter writing shouldn't be lonely. Hop on to Vote Forward (, make an account, download 20 letters, and join the party. You'll get instructions and see folks from all over the country. Sign up here.   Questions?  Email

People  Over Profits!

As Congress already starts talking about a fourth Coronavirus package, it’s critical that our Representatives fight to ensure that the needs of all communities are met. Call your Representative and both Senators to demand a People’s Bailout and prioritize five principles:

✅ Protect our democratic processes while protecting each other.

✅ Make health the top priority, for all people, with no exceptions.

✅ Provide economic relief directly to the people.

✅ Rescue workers and communities, not corporate executives.

✅ Make a down payment on a regenerative economy, while preventing future crises.

Visit the A People’s Bailout webpage to give you all the details you need to join us in this fight and lots of ways to take action.

Let's not mess up again
Scientists warn of a looming crisis that could have catastrophic effects.  Trump and the right wing mock the scientists, dismiss the data, and ditch precautions in order to make more money. Hundreds of thousands die.
Let's not do this again.  Email the County Council by NOON Monday (4/6) and tell them to support a Climate Emergency Resolution.

Indivisible loses a beloved team member

Earlier this year, COVID-19 was a looming threat. It’s hard to process how fast the world has changed. In February and March, several members of the Indivisible national team across the country contracted the virus. Then, last weekend, we lost our midwest regional senior organizer Tim Liszewski to COVID-19. This is a devastating, heartbreaking loss for the Indivisible team and the Indivisible movement.

Tim was a lifelong warrior for justice. He joined the Indivisible National team in early 2018, covering states from his hometown in South Carolina all the way to Iowa. Tim was loved and respected across our team for his kindness, his quiet leadership, the depth of his organizing craft, and his wry sense of humor. He wasn’t someone who wanted to be the center of attention, but he was genuinely interested in people -- often the first to greet newcomers to a space, and quick to build rapport -- and formed deep ties wherever he went.

We don’t normally include fundraising requests for Indivisible in these newsletters, but we hope that you’ll consider making a donation to the South Carolina Progressive Network in Tim’s honor -- you can do that here. Tim’s dream was to finish hiking the Appalachian Trail -- you can make a donation to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy here to ensure others can live that dream.
