Food for Thought Class Series
We have a new format for our Food for Thought class series, which meets on  Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays.  Starting immediately, we will be providing content under the following schedule:

Mondays- Food Themes
Tuesdays- Food and Science
Fridays- Let's Take a Tour

For the month of September, you can look forward to the following topics:

Food Themes:  All classes will focus on apples, including a look at different varieties, how apples are harvested and simple cooking projects.

Food and Science:  Upcoming classes look at jobs for scientists in food, the changes that Fall brings, and the ways a cocoa plant ends up as a candy bar.

Lets Take a Tour:  Upcoming is a tour that looks at the Reading Terminal Market, a public market in Philadelphia that offers a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, cheeses and more!

Classes on Monday, Tuesday and Friday all begin at 11:00am on the Zoom platform.
Chefs of the Month: David and Derric
We launch our inaugural edition of the online version of  Food for Thought with new Chefs of the Month: David Tapper (left) and Derric Diggs (right)! Each week, they work together as a great team to prepare a sheet supper and make it look easy. Let's take a moment to give them a round of applause and congratulate them on this well-earned honor.  They make a great team.
Say Hello to Our Editor in Chief/Intern: Lisan Ye
Hello everyone, it is super exciting to meet you all!
My name is Lisan and I am the Community Nutrition Intern here at CSS from August to October. It has been a wonderful experience so far.  I am located in New York City and getting my Master's in Nutrition at Hunter College. I enjoy helping people to build a positive relationship with food by forming healthy habits. My favorite food is cheesecake, what’s yours? Come tune in at the Food for Thought series to tell me what your favorite food is or to say hello!
