Updates May 31st - June 6th
Congratulations to Jonathan, Priyan, Levi and Kaisa!
On Wednesday, instead of our normal Town Hall, we joined together for the graduation ceremony! It was a very special event to commemorate this milestone in their lives. If you were not able to join us you can watch the ceremony here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/yieEXFFbGUkxucaRA
Janice Goldschmidt, the Director of Nutrition Services updated us on her new video series. The new series is focusing on active engagement and is based on the cooking program that she developed which is the basis of all her programs at CSS. The new series a training series so as to teach the principles of teaching independent cooking skills to individuals with developmental disabilities This week she introduced a new video “The Hover Factor”, you can see it here: https://youtu.be/zABtyQc0Y2E
All her videos can be found on the CSS website. https://www.css-md.org/cooking
No new positive cases for individuals supported by CSS. One individual who was asymptomatic was tested the week before and we did receive the negative results this week and we are having another individual tested out of an abundance of caution. One employee tested positive, however this employee had not been working during the time frame when it would be a concern for the residence. CSS continues to closely monitor the situation. This week marked two weeks without a new confirmed case for individuals and many residences have come off of quarantine.
The Annual Satisfaction Surveys have been emailed. If you haven’t completed it yet, you can find it here: https://tinyurl.com/CSS-Survey2020
Online Group Schedules and descriptions are attached. Many of the links have been changed for this week so be sure to use the current schedule.
Please discuss individual schedules with the case manager.
Enjoy your weekend and we hope to see you this week.
