Saint-Adelphe, le 7 septembre 2021 – La Boîte interculturelle est heureuse d’annoncer que grâce au financement du gouvernement du Canada et en collaboration avec des partenaires de partout au Québec, nous prendrons la route pour une série de visionnements du documentaire Mamu Ensemble Together.
D’une durée de 50 minutes (disponible en français et en anglais)Mamu Ensemble Togetherest le fruit du projet du même nom réalisé en 2020/2021 dans la communauté de Mani-utenam sur la Côte-Nord au Québec et dans la région de Mékinac en Mauricie.
Au cœur de ce projet, trois musiciens—Shauit, Lasso et Saulo—et un ambassadeur-musicien, Mishta-Shipu McKenzie. Ensemble, ils échangent avec les citoyens sur l’utilisation de la musique comme outil de dialogue, de lutte contre le racisme et de promotion du multiculturalisme.
Chaque visionnement sera suivi d’une période de questions avec l’idéatrice du projet, les musiciens (selon leurs disponibilités) et Suzie Yeo d'Autrement d'ici (certains visionnements).
À ce jour, des visionnements sont prévus dans les régions de Mani-utenam (Côte Nord), Mékinac, du Bas-Saint-Laurent et de Chaudière-Appalaches.

Mamu Ensemble Together: The Documentary
Saint-Adelphe, September 7th 2021 — La Boîte interculturelle is pleased to announce that, thanks to funding from the Government of Canada and an incredible range of partners, we will be going on the road for a series of screenings across Quebec to present the documentaryMamu Ensemble Together.
Fifty (50) minutes long (available in French and English) Mamu Ensemble Togetheris the result of the project of the same name carried out in 2020/2021 in the community of Mani-utenam on the North Shore of Quebec and in the region of Mékinac in Mauricie.
At the heart of this project, three musicians—Shauit, Lasso and Saulo—and an ambassador-musician, Mishta-Shipu McKenzie. Together, they exchange with citizens on the use of music as a tool for dialogue in the fight against racism and the promotion of multiculturalism.
Each screening will be followed by a question period with the project curator, the musicians (subject to availability) and Suzie Yeo of Autrement d'ici (for some screenings).
To date, screenings are planned for the following regions: Mani-utenam (North Shore of Quebec), Mekinac, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Chaudières-Appalaches.
