Hard to believe that come April 22nd, it will be 4 years since we first opened our doors! To think it was just supposed to be a hobby, a larger space for my art supplies with the occasional workshop here and there. Ha! Scroll down to see photos of our journey from hobby to community art hub. We could not have built this incredible creative space without you!
We met our beloved studio like this...
It held so much promise that we turned it into this...
And now we're hearing this...
We can't tell you how much it means to see others enjoying the OSS!
Workshops to BOOK NOW!
As the world celebrates women this month, we're celebrating two of our top female artists. Now is the time to book yourself into their workshops and seize the opportunity to learn from these talented tutors!
Sue brings a wealth of experience and expertise in art and teaching every time she visits OSS. This year she's teaching:
BOOK NOW because her sessions sell-out quickly. Regulars know they'll leave with an amazing piece of art and some fabulous new skills! In between all this, Sue will be hosting a live teaching session and demo at the SAA on June 15. Visit the SAA to take part or view it online from home. Not familiar with Sue and her work? Check out her article in March's Paint Magazine or click here to learn more.
When last we hosted artist, author and tutor, Melanie Cambridge, students who attended her workshop couldn't stop raving about how much they'd learned, how many good tips she gave them, how easy it was to follow her lead. You spoke, we listened and she's back at the OSS this May. Oil painters rejoice! Summer Poppies in Oils (May 23) and Seaside Adventures in Oils (May 24) are back to back workshops and if you book both, you get £10 off!
and DON'T FORGET!
