Farm Fest

September is peak harvest season here in Vermont; we’ll be celebrating FarmFest with UVM Dining from September 26-30! Enjoy local foods in the dining halls and be sure to check out the digital screens and @UVMDining social media posts about some of our favorite local farmers and producers! Plus, you won’t want to miss some of the fun events that Eco-Reps are helping out with!

Know how to sort your waste!

Do your part, and be sure to properly sort your waste on campus! Food scraps and napkins go in the compost. Compostable plates, utensils, and packaging go in the trash (because our local composting company no longer accepts them). Clean paper, glass, and plastic bottles/packaging can be recycled.

This video gives more detail and you should always refer to signage at the waste stations across campus for guidance. When in doubt, throw it out!
