Nourish Update

by Paul Haines and Olga Johnson ( Co-Chairs )

Well we have completed another financial year at Nourish and we were extremely busy right up until the end.
The last three months of 2017-2018 have seen a consistent demand for our service with 301 individual and 298 family bags being distributed to local people in crisis.

We have overcome many challenges in the past 5 years but the beast from the east tried to beat us. Our wonderful team of volunteers kept going throughout the snowy conditions and with help from Childrensalon we managed to deliver all our foodbags ensuring our clients had food and provisions. The rural deliveries were extremely hard and sometimes inaccessible by car so the use of a sledge was essential.

We held a corporate opportunities day at our unit on 23rd February and we have had a lot of interest in corporate support through 2018-2019. We will be holding another corporate day later in the year and will update our Facebook events page with details.

As we look forward to 2018-2019, we would like to express a huge Thank You once again to all our volunteers, supporters, donors and funders for all the help and support. We couldn’t do it without you
