Dear friends,

Your texts and emails of encouragement have been unbelievable! Thank you so much for letting me know you are keeping our team in prayer as we face our biggest challenge ever in Haiti. My Uncle Calvin used to always say “pray and then do something” and you have done that with your financial support.

Just two months ago our team was having the time of their lives hosting three different Pathfinder groups on our country property for our first Pathfinder Camporee. 140 Pathfinders and 20 support staff pitched their tents and had a week to work and study together. Up at dawn and into their exercise program, these teams were ready for action and yes breakfast!

How thankful we are this event was able to take place. Once again we see how quickly things can change. Millions of lives are being affected and we are praying that in His mercy God will cover the island of Haiti and spare these people another tragedy. We have so much more to accomplish here and as we can all see time is shorter than we even imagined.

We have closed our small school in Bohoc due to the COVID-19. Our young students are so sad. It is wonderful to see them lining up at the gates every morning so anxious to learn! We had just gotten Mexny’s children all back in school again in the city and now of course their education is on hold. Due to the political unrest their year has been so interrupted they will probably all have to repeat this school year again.

We have had to lay off most of our woodshop workers in Port-au-Prince due to the virus potential but also because of lack of orders coming in during this chaotic time. This is a devastating blow to all those their jobs support. Their work provides for 220 extended family members.

Most all foreign aid workers have left the country.  Other nations are so busy fighting their own battles with this virus they will never hear the cry of Haiti. Outside aid will be very limited. But you can help from within the country. I am here leading my teams and praying for the future of Haiti. Please help us today continue our work – so many are depending on The Beehive!

Thank you,
Jonathan Euler, Executive Director
