We need to plan nationally and statewide (even in IL) for the security of our votes in November 2020!
1. CALL ILLINOIS LEADERS!
Ask our state legislators, Governor Pritzker, election officials, and ISBE to remove any barriers to receiving, tracking, and returning an absentee ballot. All jurisdictions should include envelopes with prepaid postage for all voters.
If vote-by-mail legislation is not passed by the end of May in IL, there will not be time to organize another option, and an expanded vote-by-mail program will not go forward.

Indivisible National has created a tool to help us call our members of Congress — including Democrats — today and demand that they fight to include these emergency protections for our election in the next coronavirus bill.
In May 2019, we asked grassroots activists and the Democratic primary candidates to take the We Are Indivisible 2020 Pledge (every major candidate did!) to make the primary constructive, rally behind the winner, and then do the work to beat Trump.
Indivisibles committed to engage in the primary through the convention, push on issues that the grassroots progressives care about, and then support the ultimate Democratic nominee, whoever it was — period. These commitments shaped the primary, and now they’ll help us win in November.
2. URGENT: Register to be able to vote on Indivisible's Endorsement Process - Must be done by 11:59 ET on 4/27 Enter your information and you’ll be added to the email list to be able to participate in upcoming endorsement voting opportunities.

As you know, Lauren Underwood is running for re-election to the US House in Illinois’ 14th district. Though COVID-19 is clearly affecting how the campaign can do outreach to voters, there are opportunities to support Rep Underwood.
Want to get involved? The campaign will be commencing a variety of activities in the coming weeks and months—some of them traditional and others that are more creative in light of the pandemic.
