Thank you to all our wonderful Indivisible Evanston postcard writers! We have distributed over 350,00 postcards to the swing states MI, WI, TX, SC, FL and NC and for our IL candidates Reps. Lauren Underwood and Sean Casten. Now is the time to finish writing and mail your postcards! If you want some fun company while you finish your cards, sign up for our LAST Monday night postcard party on Zoom with other IE volunteers tonight at 7. Join us!

NOTE: Postcards are to be mailed on October 21 or 26 (depending on the state you are doing), not before and not afterIf you want to return ONLY the completed and stamped cards to us for mailing in Wisconsin and Michigan, they must be returned to us no later than TODAY AT 5:00 PM at any postcard pickup location. We still have a few packs of postcards to available if you want to sign up to he

ALL postcards must be mailed this Wednesday (October 21) and NOT BEFORE AND NOT AFTER (except FL and NC - those are to be sent October 26).  Studies have shown these kind of GOTV postcards are most effective received close to election day.

WI Monday & Wednesday Phone Banks: 6 - 8pm
Select Saturdays too! Call with us the
Final Four Days: Oct 32 & Nov 1- 3

⭐️ Our incredible WI Calling Crew has made almost 60K calls to WI and we need your help to make more!

💙 The Remaining 15 Days: Clear Eyes, Full hearts, Can’t Lose!

10/19: WI Monday Yacoub & Schachtner -  We’ll  be calling for Biden/Harris, Sarah Yacoub & Patty Schachtner using openVPB. See below for details.

10/21 - 11/3: Calling with the WisDems State-wide Biden Coordinated List We’ll be transitioning to the WisDems State-wide Biden Coordinated call lists for our remaining phone banks. The WisDems call lists use Thrutalk, a dialer.

Don’t know how to use Thrutalk? No worries - We’ll train you how to use Thrutalk during the first 30 minutes of the PB - no need to sign up for a separate training!

We Are Excited about Thrutalk because:

  • The system calls voters for you and connects you to people who have already picked up

  • Voters will see a party-picked number protecting your personal information

Tech Requirements:

  • Laptop or computer plus charged phone (headphones help). Tablets can work but require Google Chrome app

  • Google Chrome works best (!) or Firefox (Safari doesn't work)

Another option, OpenVPB: For those who don’t feel comfortable using Thrutalk, an openVPB link will be provided to us by WisDems; we will give it to you at the beginning of the PB.

What we’ll be doing:

  • Calling voters across the state.

  • Urging voters with ballots to send them in or drop them off, encouraging voters who do not have ballots to vote early (“Early Vote in Person”) and then finally GOTV.

  • Asking voters for their vote for Biden/Harris and the down-ballot candidates in their district.

  • Final Four Days: we’ll have one zoom room, 3 hour shifts, 3 states (IA, MI, WI). We’ll decide which state we’ll be calling based on prioritized need, shift by shift. IA, WI & MI all use Thrutalk so once you learn it, you can make calls for any state.

Why are we transitioning to the WisDems call lists?
These call lists have the most updated data on whether a voter has turned in their ballot or voted early in person. This is the most effective method we have of following up and encouraging voters to VOTE!

TRAINING TONIGHT 10/19 and 10/26!

Tomorrow we will be two weeks out from November 3, and people in Wisconsin, Michigan and other battleground states are already voting! Help us TOTV (Text Out The Vote) over the next two weekends AND November 2 & 3 by signing up for our Zoom text banks. We will be there with you to help you reply to voters, with technology support, and to play texting bingo (with prizes)!

To join our text banks, you must complete a training and sign up for MI and WI shifts in Mobilize before they fill up. And join our ThruText training tonight (10/19) or our last session on 10/26 to get signed up with the Wisconsin and Michigan texting programs ahead of time.

We also have text banks with the national Indivisible texting program, the IndivisiText Team, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays that focus on swing states and key Senate races. This program is at capacity and only open for volunteers who are already trained on TextOut (as of October 3). Please join us for texting and bingo on Zoom if you have already been trained (no need to sign up on Mobilize, texts are assigned in TextOut)!

So far, our team has sent 600,000 texts, including those sent by many of our volunteers who're texting on their own schedule. Join us and help us hit our goal of sending at least 800,000 texts by Election Day!

Canvass in Michigan with Indivisible Chicago

In our final drive to flip Michigan blue, Indivisible Chicago has organized canvassing in SW Michigan to talk with Democratic voters we have not been able to reach through phone calls and texts. There is no carpooling, so participants are responsible for their own transportation. Pre-canvass health screening will be conducted at the Michigan staging location. PPE will be required and safety training will be provided on social distancing to protect volunteers and voters. Canvass locations will be 1.5-2 hours from Chicago. Additional details will be provided prior to the event. SIGN UP NOW.

Indivisible Evanston Mission Statement

The mission of Indivisible Evanston is to resist Donald Trump, his administration, and like-minded Members of Congress, and to remove them all from office on November 3, 2020, before they replace our democracy with an authoritarian plutocracy. We do not expect our members or allies to agree on all issues, but we invite those who agree that the Trump presidency is harming our country to work together to replace him and his GOP enablers. We seek to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, and we are committed to non-violence in all our actions.
