 November 30 - December 6, 2020
The past few days saw a flurry of announcements on the Biden-Harris team's picks to fill key administration positions. On 11/28, members of the COVID-19 advisory board were selected; 11/29, senior White House communications staff were picked; and earlier today, 11/30, the President-elect announced his choices for his economic team, including Treasury Secretary and Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

It's been a long and ultimately productively 4 years working to get Donald Trump out of office. We'll be taking a break in December and resume our monthly meetings January 19th, the day before Joe Biden's inauguration as the 46th president.

Help Democrats take back the Senate!
Support Reverend Raphael Warnock
& Jon Ossoff

As we continue to count the votes to hear the voices of Americans, we must prepare for the next fight: Control of the U.S. Senate will come down to Georgia’s two runoff elections on January 5.

These runoff elections will be tough fights, but we know we can win. These organizations need your help right now to make sure Warnock & Ossoff win -- and to protect the right of every eligible Georgian to make their voice heard.

Support on-the-ground partners getting out the vote. You can also support the candidates directly. Donate:

  • New Georgia Project: https://newgeorgiaproject.org/ - Focused on engaging and registering new voters across Georgia.
  • Movement Georgia's Voters Fund Your money will go to 13+ grassroots organizations ready to work their asses off. As MVP says, these groups are “in their communities for the long haul, not one-off campaigns that come and go each cycle. These groups are the most effective messengers for voter registration and mobilization because of the local community building, issue organizing, and advocacy they focus on year-round.”
  • Black Voters Matter: https://blackvotersmatterfund.org/
Focused on increasing voter registration and voter turnout.
  • Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, & Fair Fight:  https://secure.actblue.com/donate/georgiasenate - donations will be split evenly between Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, and Fair Fight (Stacey Abram's organization that registered over 800K voters since 2018.) You can also customize your donation to each.

Write Postcards to Likely Dem Voters in Georgia
In Advance of Jan 5 Senate Runoff Elections

UPDATE: ALL 185,000 of IE's postcards have been assigned already:
Thank you to our wonderful post-carders!

HOWEVER, FEAR NOT: If you are interested in writing postcards there are two options still available:

The postcards will remind Georgia voters of the election and urge them to vote for Warnock and Ossoff, both Democrats.

As with recent postcarding efforts:

  • The postcards, name and addresses, and message will be supplied
  • You supply the postage and mail them

Note: These Georgia postcards must be mailed BY YOU on December 26, 27, or 28 - not before and not after. If you do not want to go to the post office to buy stamps, you can order them directly from the USPS here

Join our Monday Night Postcard Parties
We chat, we grouse, we laugh, and we write postcards. Register for the parties here.

This year, it's not enough to vote. In 2020, we all have to act. And we can still stay safe and take action from home.

In 2020, Indivisible Evanston is working hard to win back the White House, the Senate, Wisconsin and to keep our gains in the House and here in Illinois.

Thank you for reading our weekly newsletters, following us on FB and visiting our website for a full list of our 2020 actions.

We can do this if we all pitch in -- this is a team effort!

Indivisible Evanston Mission Statement

The mission of Indivisible Evanston is to resist Donald Trump, his administration, and like-minded Members of Congress, and to remove them all from office on November 3, 2020, before they replace our democracy with an authoritarian plutocracy. We do not expect our members or allies to agree on all issues, but we invite those who agree that the Trump presidency is harming our country to work together to replace him and his GOP enablers. We seek to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, and we are committed to non-violence in all our actions.
