Check out what's happening at Edmonton Exhibition Lands this summer!

Join us for a public session June 21 to review redevelopment ideas submitted during the Ideas Generation phase. Also, come check out the new free unsupervised recreation activities now available. Read on for details.

What We've Heard: Big Ideas

Through the Ideas Generation phase we received over 100 idea submissions for the redevelopment of the site. Now it’s your chance to share which ideas you like best, and which ideas work well together. With 200 acres to take into account, we have the opportunity to consider several different ideas to create a new vision for the site. Some of the ideas included:

  • Compact, mixed-use, transit-oriented development

  • Various forms of housing

  • Space for food-related uses (urban agriculture, markets or a food hub)

  • Green spaces/parks integrated with Borden Park

  • Space to hold large events, festivals or gatherings

  • Attractions and community sports and recreation facilities

  • Institutional uses such as university or health campuses

  • Employment uses, such as technology, education and innovation centres

You're Invited to Give Feedback

The Edmonton Exhibition Lands’ team invites you to attend one of two Idea Review sessions on June 21 to provide feedback on redevelopment ideas submitted during the Ideas Generation phase.

Drop in for five minutes to share feedback or stay longer to review ideas in more detail and create idea combinations that might work. There will be a variety of activities in which to participate.

Date: Thursday, June 21, 2018

Time: 1 - 3pm and 5 - 8pm
Location: Edmonton EXPO Centre
Family-friendly event

Your feedback will help us assess the ideas received for feasibility and fit and will be considered as we create land use redevelopment scenarios over the summer.
