New Film About Mohamed Fahmy’s Struggle for Press Freedom
Mohamed Fahmy: Half Free, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker and GRC collaborator David Paperny, and co-produced by GRC executive director Peter Klein, has its world premier on October 1, 2017 on the Canadian Broadcasting Network. Watch Trailer.
GRC to present findings from the world's largest survey on fixers at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference
The relationship between foreign correspondents and fixers is central to the work done by major Western news organizations. But how much do these two parties really understand each other’s roles, responsibilities and needs? To answer that question, GIJN member organization Global Reporting Centre commissioned the largest survey of fixers and correspondents ever undertaken, and the findings will be presented at GIJC 2017 in Johannesburg. Global Environmental Justice Collection
The Global Reporting Centre is launching a three-year project on global environmental justice, in collaboration with Face to Face Media and Whittier College. The project will gather stories from Asia and North America to examine both the human rights and the environmental protection issues that accompany global development and climate change. Price of Sex Exhibition will be showcased for the third time 
In October, the Liu Institute for Global Issues is hosting a free screening and exhibition of The Price of Sex. The exhibition features work from award-winning Mimi Chakarova, who generously donated her collection to the Global Reporting Centre. More Information.
