A Map for Wrecked Girls is Finally Here!

This is going to be a short newsletter this month because while I only have a small amount of news, it's the biggest and best kind . . . A Map for Wrecked Girls published today!

If you haven't purchased a copy yet, this is a great time to do so because first-week sales are extremely important to the success of a book. If you're unable to purchase a copy, you can also help a book succeed by telling a friend or requesting the book at your local library.

It's been a year and a half since A Map for Wrecked Girls sold to Dial, but much longer since I first started writing Emma and Henri's story. Along the way, I've met so many fellow readers and writers, the kind of people that make being an author not just a career but a dream come true. If you're reading this, there's a good chance you're one of those people and I thank you.

The Importance of Book Reviews

One of the best ways to help an author and support a book you love is by leaving reviews. Here are some fun facts about reviews:

1. Amazon doesn't give books full promotion until a book has 50 reviews. (Yes, the race to 50 has begun!)
2. Reviews don't have to say much. "Great book!" is a perfectly acceptable review. This is about quantity over quality.
3. You don't have to purchase a book from Amazon or Barnes & Noble to leave a review.
4. You can leave reviews anonymously if you'd like.
5. If you really don't feel like writing anything, on Goodreads you can leave star ratings for books without adding text.
6. If you take the time to review, most authors (including this author) will love you forever!
Coming Next Month . . .
