Thank you so much for being a supporter of my channel! 🙏 It's May Day - which, according to my Animal Crossing video game (😋), is a day where we celebrate the people who work hard. Not only do you work hard for your money, but you pass it on to places you think it will go to good use - which makes me entirely humbled and grateful. Thank you SO much for all you do. 👏
I hope you’ll take a minute to write back to this email to let me know what kind of work you do - and how the pandemic is affecting that work.
And now, for the updates! There's a bunch, so I've categorized them...🤓
As for me, live streaming has proven to be a safe boon from the disaster this quarantine has had on the economy thusfar. It's been so great to see faces on Periscope that I haven't seen in a while. People are home and looking for ways to connect with people - and Periscope is a perfect medium for that. I am so grateful it's there for all of us.
I'm also grateful for the over 700,000 superhearts we got on last night's stream - it was BANANAS! 🍌
It was National Library Week April 19-25, and I managed to hit my goal of reading 5 books that week! I haven't had a chance to review 2 of them on my channel just yet, but here are my YouTube reviews for 3 of them:
The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino
- today is day 9 of our daily love mantra we've been using from this book - so stay tuned to the Periscope channel for that.
Mindset by Carol S. Dweck
Make Your Bed by Admiral William H. McRaven
Stay tuned for the final 2 live reviews - and my book reviews email (which goes out 3 times a year) should be going out by the end of this month - stay tuned for that, too! 👀
My last day of classes is next Wednesday, May 6! Then, I'll officially have completed my Associate Degree program in a span of 10 months - instead of the standard 2 years. 👩🏻🎓
I'm really proud of what I've been accomplishing there and really excited to start my Bachelor Degree program in the fall. I registered for classes a few weeks ago, and I completed all of the financial aid applications today!
My intention is to have the first year of my Bachelor Degree covered in full by New Jersey's Community College Opportunity Grant - since my school partners with the University I'll be attending in 2021 - I'm able to take my first year of classes at the same community college - with the same cheaper tuition! It also means I qualify for that grant for both the upcoming fall and spring semesters - and I should only end up having to pay for books.
I've managed to maintain straight A's this semester.
I've gotten back into tracking my food using FitBit
. I'm moving a lot less these days - and having a few more alcoholic beverages - so I'm enjoying tracking my calories and my macronutrients. 📝
If you're having trouble finding new exercises to do from home - here is my latest leg workout video
as inspired by my dear friend @BrittanysQuest
Ed and I also did a little partner yoga video
to highlight the importance of creating high-quality connections - especially at a highly isolated time like we're living through right now. Remember, you can do all of these poses without a partner, too!
I've been deepening my practice of love, and I can say - I truly and deeply love you! I hope to hear from you soon. Please don't hesitate to reply to any of these emails or reach out to me anywhere, anytime, day or night.
I genuinely love hearing from you. 💕
