This photo is from my January trip to Key West. Ed and I have made the agreement to visit Florida (or somewhere warm) every month during the winter - and it's become vital both to our relationship but also to my personal self-care for my mental health. The cold, grey winters do bad things to my mind and these trips are such a revitalization. If you feel the same way I do about winters, I strongly advise you to get to your happy place as often as possible. Life is just too short.
Last month I talked about this year being all about experimentation and we DEFINITELY did that in Key West. We visited a clothing optional bar called the Garden of Eden - but what happens at Eden stays at Eden, so I'll leave it at that...hehe.
My experimenting with Twitter Live turned out to be a failure - they simply haven't developed the app enough to support live streaming. Simply flipping the camera from the front to the rear camera causes the audio to drop out and the stream to freeze and crash. I no longer stream there at all. My primary streaming platform is still
Twitch, followed by
Instagram and
Youtube. I'm still looking to grow my
TikTok audience too, so I can start to experiment with streaming there.
The paid streaming gig with State of Survival has been going very well. They recently scheduled me to stream on there even more, so I'm bringing in about $1,000/month from that game alone. The potential for this industry is very exciting.
I was sworn in by the court and assigned to my first case. I'm hoping to meet with them this week to start figuring out what exactly they need and how I can best advocate for them. I'm really excited to officially get started. I've already familiarized myself with the case, now I'm just waiting on contact information so we can get rolling!
I learned about a type of psychologist that works for companies to help them maximize productivity and minimize turnover - they're called industrial-organizational, or I-O, psychologists. That career path seems like a perfect combination of my unique interests and skill set. I'm excited to learn more about it and other career options in the field through the "Psych as a Profession and Practice" course I'm taking this semester.
For only 4 classes, my weekly workload is a bit intense - lots of papers to write and information to consume. I'm confident in my ability to manage my time between school and all my other commitments, though. I'm very optimistic about my future - which is unusual for me in the winter. Florida for the win!!!
P.s. Congratulations to all the Bucs fans out there - I was rooting for them too, since Tampa is so close to my "home" of Clearwater.
I'm still working through the details and exercises in the Tony Robbins book I mentioned last month. School always slows my reading way down. I was able to finish an entire book this past weekend though, mostly at a nudist resort called Caliente in Land O' Lakes, Florida (ABE - always be experimenting!) It's called The Self-Made Billionaire Effect - stay tuned for a review of it coming up on my Youtube channel soon!
Let me know what you've been up to this winter and how you've been experimenting in the new year!
I genuinely love staying in touch with you.
xoxo
