Innovative cargo hub coming to Mesa-Gateway Airport

I am excited to tell you that Governor Doug Ducey announced last week a new investment by SkyBridge Arizona that will make Arizona an e-commerce powerhouse.

SkyBridge will set up a brand-new facility at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport creating America’s first international air cargo process hub with both U.S. and Mexican customs agents. This will transform the way Arizona -- and America -- does shipping business, and it is another example of secure trade between Arizona and Mexico. It will allow Arizona to grow our trade surplus, sell more American goods to Mexico, and create new jobs right here in Arizona.

The SkyBridge hub is also part of a larger economic development plan that will develop 360 acres of land near Mesa-Gateway Airport over 15 years, with $230 million of private capital invested in Arizona over the life of the project. This is what happens when tax policy and regulatory environment meet the needs of job creators.

Let's keep up the momentum for Arizona innovation, offering more good-paying jobs to hardworking Arizonans. Forward this email or post the link to your Facebook or Twitter today to show Representative Mark Finchem and Governor Ducey he have your support in growing Arizona's economy.

While the tax and spend crowd demands more taxpayer "investment" --code for higher taxation-- our tax policy is working to attract quality job creators.

While other states tout "loopholes" and "temporary tax abatement" as the answer to quality job creation, your LD-11 Team in the State Legislature is closing loop holes and simplifying the tax code, improving the regulator environment and delivering an increasingly robust economy.
