Kroeger's Korner

Congrats to all who participated at State Ensemble and Solo. Jacob Doss placed 5th in Baritone and Jovanni Galletta placed 4th in Bass!  Way to go gentlemen!

Our Annual End of Year POPs Concerts are on the horizon!  Our Pops committee has done a super trouper job of planning this year's event.  We are also preparing for our largest fundraiser of the year - Fireworks!

Pop's t-shirts are $5.50 - Please take your payment to Donna Deluca, TuHS Bookkeeper.



Pops Rehearsal and Concerts:
  • Please buy a $5 raffle ticket to win reserved seats and parking (details below)
  • Rehearsal (All Choirs) - Wednesday, 5/29 3:15 - 4:15
  • Rehearsal (Soloists/Band) - TBA
  • Concerts - Thursday, 5/30 and Friday, 5/31 @ 7:30, doors open 7:00      
  • Need volunteers for both concerts - non-Senior parents, please sign up on Friday so senior parents can just relax and enjoy Senior Night

Pops Concert Seating and  Parking Raffle

Choir Boosters are selling virtual raffle tickets now! Raffle tickets are $5 each or get five raffle tickets for $20

Winners will be notified on May 28th & 29th!

What? Win 6 reserved seats AND 2 reserved parking spots.

Who? There will be two winners for the Thursday, May 30th Pops concert and two winners for the Friday, May 31 Pops concert. 

Why? Due to District-wide cuts to the arts, the choir budget has been drastically reduced this upcoming school year. 

How can I buy one!? 
Two options: 
  1. Click on Blue Button below
    • In the “Add a note section” state:
      • What concert night and number of tickets (Ex. Friday 5)  
      • If splitting raffle tickets between both nights, please state how to split tickets (Ex: Thursday 2 / Friday 3)  
      • Raffle purchases via PayPal close on Monday, May 27th at midnight
  2. Bring a check to Mrs Kroeger made out to TUHS boosters.
    • Use the memo section to state concert night and # of tickets.
    • These must be received on or before Friday, May 24th for processing. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you plan to volunteer, here are the boosters policies

Students

  1. Amounts to be given to student accounts will be determined based on the number of shifts worked at the stand and based on the student’s cooperative and helpful presence and attitude.   
  2. The amounts given to students will vary year to year based on fireworks profits and the total number of volunteers. You directly benefit from making the stand successful through your hard work!
  3. The goal of boosters will be to give approx. 30% of the profits to individual student accounts for choir use: trip, choir fees, attire, etc.  
  4. Each student may initially only sign up for a max. of 4 shifts, up to 1 week before the Set Up Day, in order to allow others the chance to participate. 1 week before Set Up day (ie, if the Setup Day is a Thursday, then 1 week before would be the previous Thursday), if any fireworks shift is still not filled (throughout the entire sales dates) then students can sign up for additional shifts.
  5. If a student is not pulling their weight as a volunteer, the adult in charge has the right to make note the student should not get credit for that shift. The expectation is that students are being helpful, respectful and cooperative with what is asked of them, which can and will include being tired, hot and standing often.

         Parents or Guardians

Sign up for as many spots as you want. If your schedule is flexible, please consider helping during the day, thus allowing working parents to help in the evenings.

Who are the Choir Boosters? 

TuHS Choir Boosters is a non-profit organization made up of parent volunteers.  Our goal is to support all choir students by bridging the funding gap.  We need your support and your involvement in order to achieve this goal, year after year.

  • Pops Concert Live Musicians

  • Newer and better microphones which will be used for all concerts and musicals and any other events held in the TuHS auditorium. 

  • Funds to bridge the gap in program expenses and district funding.
