Hi Everyone,
Marc and I have been in discussions with the Council today and have made the decision to return to the Puahue course for this Tuesday's (15 Nov) race in the Spoken Cycles Summer Series. It would appear that the rain (and subsequent drop in temperature) has caused some issues with a) the patching they completed last week and b) their ability to complete the job. Contractors are waiting for fine weather and will then continue to work on the 500m either side of the Puniu Dairy - in the interest of rider safety we think it best to ride at Puahue and wait for our usual course to be completed properly.
The course will be exactly the same as Week 5 with one lap - 16km for U15s and two laps - 32km for all graded riders. Registration will be based at Puahue School from 5.30 - 6.20 pm with U15s starting at the usual time of 6 pm and Grades from 6.30 pm. There is plenty of parking in the two carparks just past the school and we'd ask that you don't park on the roadside as we need to keep this clear for riders, officials, and visibility.
The Cambridge Bunch will leave the Cycleway at the slightly later time of 5.20 pm.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Regards
Melinda
