Message from Executive Director, Adrian Field

Welcome to Cardiff BID's first e-newsletter. These regular updates will be your opportunity to keep BID businesses such as yourselves in the know about what projects we're working on, BID news, how you can get involved and targeted information from fellow city centre businesses and partners we feel you could benefit from.

Myself and the team joined Cardiff BID in the new year and have hit the ground running with the launch of our first projects covering cleanliness, safety, marketing and superfast broadband (detailed below). To give a bit of background on us, I have come from Worcester where I headed the BID there for nine years, overseeing two successful ballots, delivered award winning projects in addition to undertaking regional and national roles in Place Management organisations. Carolyn Brownell is our Marketing and Communications Manager, who has worked in the BID industry for 7 years and previously managed Chippenham BID and the Communications Manager at Solihull BID. Emily Cotterill is our Project Coordinator joins us from Winchester BID where she was the Project Coordinator supporting the delivery of projects and events and recently won a Great British High Streets Award. Finally, Nigel Griffiths joins us as the Operations Manager, after 30 years of service Nigel recently retired from the South Wales Police where he was the Chief Inspector in Cardiff city centre for operational policing.

We want to hear from you about what you think the BID need to prioritise as projects, please find our contact details here or tweet us @Cardiff_BID.

This included street washing, flyposting removal, chewing gum removal, graffiti removal and utility box painting. A deep clean was also done in high footfall areas such as Queen Street, High Street, St Mary Street and Caroline Street. To find out more click here
