Regional Highlights:

Person using GLOBE ObserverNASA Langley Research Center has been working to provide virtual learning resources for families, as well as teachers and students through a variety of “how-to” videos, demos, family guides, and presentations. The new NASA GLOBE Family Cloud Guide was developed as a resource for families to provide guidance in their interactions as they study the clouds together. In addition through SME Connections they have provided virtual learning opportunities for teachers and their students through interactive presentations connecting scientists, educators, teachers and students in phenomena driven explorations of the world in which we live. Presentations provided “how-tos” for studying the clouds and the atmosphere. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn how they can become a citizen scientist using the GLOBE Observer App

2020 SRS Update

Upload Report IconThe United States GLOBE Student Research Symposia (SRS) will not be held this spring due to COVID-19. The next in-person Student Research Symposia will be held in the spring of 2021, at the same locations as the 2020 events. While it is no replacement for an in-person event, we would like to honor the progress and dedication of students working this spring on SRS projects. There will be an opportunity for students to receive feedback virtually. Projects uploaded by May 1, 2020 to the GLOBE website and tagged with SRS will be reviewed by STEM professionals who will leave comments on the project page. We also invite GLOBE students to participate in the peer review process.

What if teachers/students cannot make that deadline? Can students upload projects any time? Have more questions? Please see our SRS 2020 COVID FAQ.
