Take Advantage!
Greetings Saints!

As many of you know, we are embarking on a journey in the vital area of evangelism this Fall.  Through partnerships with the Granite Bay Seventh-day Adventist church and the Amazing Facts College of Evangelism (AFCOE), we will be equipped to expand the Kingdom of God in the city of Lincoln and position ourselves closer to the great day of our Lord's return.  I believe the Lincoln Amazing Grace Adventist church is uniquely gifted in the area of prayer and relationship building.  It is my sincere hope that we will take advantage of the opportunities this event will give us to build our faith and draw us closer to one another as well as our Lord and Savior, Jesus.  In this newsletter, we will present some of the wonderful experiences that await us in the coming months.

May the power of the Holy Spirit impress each heart to know the we each can play as we endeavor to Reach Lincoln in 2017.  If you have any questions or comments, I'm only a text, phone call, or e-mail away.

In His Service,

Gresford Thomas

    - Learning more about the needs of our neighbors in Lincoln and how we can better serve their needs.
    - 40 days of prayer in preparation for Reach Lincoln 2017.
    - Health outreaches during the month of September.
    - A joint prophecy seminar with the Granite Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, October 13-November 11, 2017.

Community Prayer Breakfast, July 11, 2017

On July 11, the we held our first ever Community Prayer Breakfast. This initiative sought to make friends with Lincoln’s civic and community leaders and learn what they feel are the needs of Lincoln.

Fifteen community and civic leaders attended and shared their thoughts with us on Lincoln's needs. City Mayor Peter Gilbert spoke on his vision for Lincoln and involvement from faith communities.

A big thank you to all of the wonderful city and community leaders who joined us and share their thoughts with us.

Church Campout at Rucker Lake

The church campout at Rucker Lake provided a refreshing, relaxing weekend for many church members. Those able to attend enjoyed time for fellowship and Bible study. Sabbath school and church were held among the trees at the lake’s edge and culminated in a special communion service.

After church everyone enjoyed a scrumptious potluck meal and time to visit with old friends and make new friends. The weekend also included time for canoeing, paddle-boating, playing on the giant rope swing, and relaxing by the campfire.

Prayer Focus
At Lincoln Amazing Grace, we KNOW prayer makes a difference! We've seen so many miracles happen in answer to prayer that there is no doubt God hears and answers prayer! We've also come to recognize the incredible power in that comes when we pray unitedly for something. Beginning this week, we will be publishing a weekly prayer focus here and in the church bulletin. We will also be praying for one family in the church each week.
  • Pray for the evangelistic series to have a powerful impact on the Lincoln community “And let us not grow weary while doing good....” Galations 6:9-10 NKJV
If you have a specific personal need that you'd like prayer for, please join us at prayer meeting on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. or join the prayer group after church on Sabbaths.

Youth Sabbath, June 10

Youth Sabbath, June 10, was a high Sabbath at Lincoln. The church’s young people led out in every part of the service. They planned, practiced and prepared. When the big day arrived, they were ready, though nervous. But every one of them did a great job.

Isabella Stanhope taught a combined youth/adult Sabbath School class. She joined Isabella Brunkow to lead song service. Sophia Donati led out in the Garden of Prayer. Daniel Page did the offering call and scripture reading. Elliott Stanhope did a special music on his trumpet. And Sophia Brunkow delivered an in-depth sermon on the 12 tribes of Israel. Other young people helped with audiovisual, picking up offering and more. We are very proud of our young people and all they are doing!

Mona Bass
Cofounder of the Free Clothing Giveaway

A few years ago Mona Bass volunteered at the Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center by giving diapers and other baby items to mothers in need. Soon she realized mothers need clothing for themselves.

Mona knew that friends of hers, Wanda Lou and Jerry Clayton, collected clothing donated by their church and rented a storage place to sort and store the clothing but needed a place to give the clothing away... Read the full story here.
