The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association will be holding it’s 25th Annual Environmental Conference & Trade Show in Camp Hill, PA from September 18th-20th this year.  This year’s conference will center around higher education in our industry while maintaining focus on IECA’s 4 Educational Tracks of erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, MS4’s and surface water restoration.

Professional Development Hours will be provided for all technical sessions.

2019 MAC IECA Officer Elections
The MAC IECA’s success as an association is due largely to the commitment, energy and expertise of our volunteers including those who serve on the MAC Board of Directors. As we begin the process of identifying potential candidates for officer postions, we ask each of you to help determine those IECA members whose extensive industry and volunteer experience, as well as outstanding leadership skills, would serve to enhance the IECA Board and our association. Voting will occur at the close of our annual confernce in September and nominations are due no later than Spet. 19, 2018.

The youth is the future of our industry and the MAC realizes this. That is why we are welcoming all college students (and professors!) from any accredited college or university to attend day 1 of our conference for FREE this year to attend technical learning sessions, network, learn about our industry and find out what an IECA membership can do to help them find a job.

The 2018 Annual MAC Golf Tournament will be held at 
Dauphin Highlands (650 S Harrisburg Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17113). This year’s tournament will commence on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 am set as the first tee time.

From a challenging par 3 of 172 yards to a wide-open par 5 of 541-yards, Dauphin Highlands provides the opportunity for you to experience every facet of the intricate game of golf. Our signature hole, the 17th, is a par 3 of breath-taking natural beauty requiring each player to tee off over a natural ravine onto a gently sloping green.

Distance from Radisson is about 8 miles (shortest route) and roughly 20 or so minutes away.

The cost will be $70.00 per player and includes greens fee, ½ cart and box lunch.

Exhibitors and MAC IECA Members Social

On Wednesday evening after a long day of technical sessions and education the Exhibitors and MAC IECA Members Social will be held. Come join us for food, drinks and some live music. Network with other conference attendees, chat with exhibitors and maybe meet some of the MAC board members. This event is always the place to be at the conference so make sure not to miss it!

Field Tour – Stream Restoration, Rain Gardens and More!

This year’s conference field trip will be to Messiah College where attendees will have the opportunity to tour the campuses green infrastructure, rain gardens and a recently completed stream restoration. Additionally a project where a large ravine that was actively eroding was repaired and stabilized will be toured and discussed. Attendees will depart around 12:45PM on Thursday afternoon after lunch on the closing day. The tour should take about 2 hours and will wrap up around 3PM. Buses will be available onsite at the college however attendees will need to provide their own transportation to and from the campus. Sign up will be at the registration desk during the conference so make sure to reserve your spot on the bus early.
