Take your PoCUS skills to the next level!
Thanks to each of you for participating at the EDE Course in Chilliwack!
Jenn and I were very honored to be invited to teach and it was a joy to meet of you.
As mentioned at the course, we would strongly recommend that you consider going on to consolidate your PoCUS training by becoming certified with the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society (CPoCUS - www.cpocus.ca).
This process will help you overcome the biggest challenge to PoCUS use - Image Generation!
CPoCUS certification follows the most rigorous standards in the world for ensuring that clinicians performing PoCUS do so safely and efficiently.
If you would like to learn more about the certification please visit the CPoCUS website:
Overview of Certification Process
Acute Care CORE Certification
Family Medicine CORE Certification
We are offering a workshop in Nanaimo to achieve CORE Certification in Acute Care or Family Medicine from April 18-20, 2020.
We are also offering a workshop in Nanaimo to achieve Resuscitation Certification from May 23-25, 2020. (You should have your CORE Certification before taking this workshop).
If you can't make these workshops there are many more opportunities to get certification from coast to coast. These are listed on the CPoCUS Courses and Workshops page.
If you can't join us in Nanaimo or elsewhere in Canada, please contact us anytime if you would like to learn more about certification. We would be honored to support you in designing a local process to help people get certified.
Keep the standards high!
Chuck Wurster, President, CPoCUS
Jennifer Wurster, Master Instructor, CPoCUS
PS. Most of our course registrations come from my word of mouth referrals. If you can, please send this information along to anyone you know who uses PoCUS and is not yet certified. This will help ensure that whenever someone picks up an ultrasound probe they do so safely!
