San Luis Obispo Countywide Plan to Address Homelessness 2022-2027

Provide your feedback by June 30, 2022.

The County of San Luis Obispo has released a DRAFT San Luis Obispo Countywide Plan to Address Homelessness 2022-2027 and they are asking for feedback from the public. This regional plan will address issues of care, services, shelter, and housing. Please take the time to review the draft and let them know your thoughts and share your experiences.
Comments will be collected and presented to the Steering Committee of the San Luis Obispo Countywide Plan to Address Homelessness for review before the plan is finalized. All comments may be submitted anonymously.

Comments received by June 30, 2022 will be considered in preparation of a final version that is scheduled for presentation to the HSOC on July 18, 2022, and subsequently to the County of San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors.

Inclusive Backing Grants for Small Businesses

This grant opportunity, brought to you by Main Street Amercia and American Express, will provide grants to small business owners who identify as Native or Indigenous, Hispanic or Latinx, LGBTQ+ or as immigrants, refugees or forcibly displaced. Membership in Main Street America is not required to be eligible for the Program, but businesses must have a "bricks-and-mortar" location and operate in an older or historic main street, downtown, or commercial district in the United States.

Our Downtown Ambassadors work daily to make sure our Downtown community is safe, clean, and hospitable to visitors.

When to call a Downtown Ambassador

If you are a Downtown business owner, please reach out to our Ambassadors if you need any assistance.

Services available at no charge include:

  • Removing graffiti
  • Sidewalk gum removal
  • Cleaning up trash from sidewalks and gutters
  • Removing weeds from sidewalks and streets
  • Cleaning public trash cans
  • Cleaning public benches
  • Cleaning messes

Additionally, if there’s a situation you aren’t sure how to handle, our Ambassadors may be able to point you in the right direction.
