City Council Recap

Thanks for your feedback in our Parking Perception Survey last week. The Downtown SLO Parking and Access met and your Downtown SLO staff submitted a letter on behalf of the Parking & Access Committee synthesizing your feedback as downtown business owners to City Council on June 7th. Good news! — Council voted to keep the first hour free until July 2023, using ARPA funds to make up for that lost revenue.

Council also directed staff to come back in early 2023 with recommendations for more dynamic pricing and a comprehensive parking plan. There will be opportunities for you to participate in the development of the new Parking and Access Management Plan. Please see this link to read more about the City Council meeting. Downtown Access Pass
Did you know that all employees of businesses located in Downtown SLO are eligible for a free bus pass! Stop by the Downtown SLO Office or fill out the application here to get yours.

Bar Training Requirement
The California ABC (Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control) is requiring that all staff serving alcohol must be certified no later than August 31, 2022.

Central Coast RBS, approved CA Dept of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training provider, is offering instructor-led in-person RBS classes and live instructor-led virtual RBS classes via Zoom seven days a week.
