It is wedding season in the Finger Lakes! Thank you to everyone who booked a wedding with me and to people who helped spread the word about Emoticakes to their friends!! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to bake for your special occasions and everyday indulgences.

at Sheldrake Point! Check out this great cafe for a delicious meal or perhaps a cupcake!! They have a fantastic deck overlooking Cayuga Lake. Look for two flavors each week, with one gluten free offering. Look for the cupcake recipes from the Bee on my website in the coming months.
I had a baking mishap awhile back. If you are a baker, you know this can happen really easily!! At the last minute, I realized I LEFT OUT the eggs! Knowing the batch
was a loss, I decided to add them at this stage and see what happened. I was so surprised when they baked BETTER than my normal method. The change stuck and I updated my recipes
for myself and for you! This mistake has encouraged me to start to investigate methods a little bit more. Do you have mistakes that you'd like to share? I'd love to hear your stories!
I recently hired my first employee! Thank you to several friends who helped me decide that it was time to take the plunge and purchase Worker's Compensation insurance. My 16 year old daughter, Elizabeth is already hard at work baking and decorating. She has a super quick commute and I'm enjoying having her company in the kitchen!!
