With the start of the project H4DC last January, it began the first phase of the project in order to define a dual careers support service model for athletes aged from 12 to university age. This phase, led by the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam (AUAS) and their experts in the design of programs of dual careers, study the specific needs  the three participating clubs may have when they will offer a better combination of their studies with the practice of sport to its players, taking into account the different characteristics of the educational systems in the regions, youth study habits and interaction with the labor market.

These first studies began with the visit to IK Sävehof facilities in Partille (Sweden) last March, then, with the visit to BM Granollers (Spain). The studies consist of various personal interviews in which stakeholders share their points of views and experiences regarding different issues that can provide a relevant information for the preparation of the new model of dual careers. These stakeholders were: players, coaches, parents of the talents, representatives of educational institutions and club' sponsors.
As AUAS representatives were in Granollers, it was held the first  "Awareness raising session" on dual careers where, besides making the official presentation of the project "Handball for Dual Careers", also had the speech of Albert Busquets, manager of Club Natació Banyoles and coordinator of the project "Innovative Clubs for Dual Careers", which also AUAS partners.
