End-of-Life Doula Training & Certification

~Supporting life's final transition ~

Welcome!

Lifespan Doula Association is delighted to announce the launch of our new website at www.LifespanDoulas.com.  Please share with us in celebrating this new venture. Our mission is to provide professional training and development for end-of-life doulas. Our long-term vision is for end-of-life doulas to become mainstreamed in our culture so that everyone will know about us and have access to our services.

You are among the first to know! Thank you for joining us on this journey. Let us know what you think!

A bit about us ...

Merilynne Rush and Patty Brennan, both former home birth midwives and long-time friends, began dreaming about combining their wisdom and experience back in 2015. Throughout 2016 our vision grew and we began designing our curriculum, which we believe is unique in that it is firmly grounded in the doula model of care, an area that Patty has been teaching in for 25 years. Merilynne brings experience in home care, end-of-life care, and hospice and palliative care. To date, we have taught 30 end-of-life doulas, made referrals, launched our mentoring program, and established our certification process. We believe in the importance of this work and hope that you will help us share it widely.
Our next End-of-Life Doula Training Workshop will be held in Ann Arbor, MI on June 2-4.

We are a work in progress ...

There are a couple of pieces that are not completely in place yet but we could no longer hold off sharing what we do have now! Our new certification process has been defined; we are just finishing up publication of all the support materials. Coming VERY soon ~ so please check back in frequently. (Plus, your visits will give us some much-needed search engine juice to help with our online visibility and overall growth. Thanks in advance for your help.) Finally, if you find anything that needs our attention, please let us know.
Please help us spread the word and grow LifespanDoulas.com!
