Despite Our Failures

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (NIV®)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

If the Lord allows you to stay in the same place very long, you’ll meet people who knew you when you failed—with a splash! But then, God begins to transform and reorient your life, and you get new opportunities with those same people. Don’t be bent over with shame and guilt. Tell your Jesus-story. “You were right. Everything you’re saying about me is true. That’s what makes my story so remarkable. I met Jesus, and He’s changing me. I’m not perfect, but He’s slowly making me into a different person.” Scripture is full of accounts of how God used people in spite of their failures, and He can use you and me in spite of our failures. None of us have ever been or will ever be perfect, but Jesus is in the transformation business. That’s the heart of our Jesus-story, so don’t hesitate to tell it: He is changing me, and He can change you, too.

THINK ABOUT IT
Your Jesus-story is powerful! Be prepared to stand firm in all He has done and is doing for You. He will be glorified when You tell others.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for my Jesus-story—how You saved, redeemed, and are transforming me through His sacrifice. I am grateful to take this same good news of deliverance to others, that Your family would multiply and strengthen. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Blessings,
